Oscar Stringer 10K Race Director

I’m incredibly lucky to be given the opportunity to be race director for the Corsham 10K,  working with a creative, fun and experienced committee, we will make race day the best it can be for everyone involved.

The Corsham 10K was the first race I ran in 2012 and got me hooked on races. In 2014 I was the race sweep. I then joined the committee in 2015.

Gill Fox – 2K Race Director

With a background which includes supporting runners; event management; risk assessment and working with children and young people, I am more than delighted to be using these skills (combined with enthusiasm and a sense of humour) as 2k race director and 10k committee member. Thank you for the opportunity!

Alex Foghill

I was the Race Director from 2006 to 2017 and am now a very happy Committee Member supporting the 2019 Event.  My particular responsibility is for Tee Shirts and Beer for the Mementos and also to help Karen in liaising with our lovely Sponsors.

Max Luff – Course Director

Running has been a big part of my life for about 15 years and I’ve lost count of the number of races I’ve run in. All of these depend on a team of volunteers to turn up and help out & cheer us runners on. It’s been a great privilege to do my bit for my own local 10k over the last few years. Being part of this great team it is my role to look after the course, to ensure road closures are organised, risk assessments completed, traffic management officials and volunteer marshals, water stations, signage, cones, first aiders, etc. are all in the right places around the route.

I have been involved with the Corsham 10k for many years.  Initially, I was asked to join the team to introduce goody bags for each finisher.  Being part of this great committee my main role is to ask local businesses to be involved and help with the expenses to enable us to give more back into the community.  Many of the sponsors bring a huge contribution, commitment and laughter on the day of the event too. I am very honoured to be part of this very successful event and thrilled to see how it has grown over the years and bring the whole community together year after year.
